IMAC + Bose = Super awesome homeoffice system

I finally upgrade my iMac to the latest version and this time I decided to go all out.
(sort of )

I went with their 27" line with the following spec.

i7 3.4ghz
Nvidia GTX680MX
1 TB fusion drive

The verdict?

Super awesome system!

On the left is my new 27" iMac and on the right is 20.5" iMac (mid 2007). I gave the old iMac away btw.

The resolution is brilliant and my gaming experience has never been better! ( ehem well working is nice on this machine too. )

I also get rid of my sony speaker and go wireless with Bose Mini Soundlink Bluetooth

The aluminum body match perfectly with my iMac. I love the portability and I think it is totally worth it. It is a little pricey for a speaker but well, I am a little audophile. LOL. The bass is very good for such a small device.

So yeah, I am pretty happy with the upgrade.

Below are the test with these 2 games I play the most.

World of warcraft

Guild War 2

Freelancer.

I have not talk about my freelancing job at all. (hint : boredfreelancer )

So I guess it is time for an update. :)

I started freelancing in 2007 as hobby, but now is it my source of income after I lost my full time job in 2009, due to the economy.

My client has grown from 2, to almost 15 as we speak. Doesn't seem a lot but these are recurring client. I am unofficially "their web designer and IT support".

I meet them once in a while, but sometime I was introduced through skype. 50% of my client have not met me in person. The power of technology.

Work can vary. Sometime I get a lot of tasks, but there's also a slow week. During the slow week, I usually try to find small gig (but sometime end up being another client). Or just do things around the house. The slow week are usually during "waiting for feedback" days. I don't usually look for another project during "feedback waiting phase".

I don't want to be to overwhelmed trying to maintain new client and old client at the same time.

My turn around time are pretty quick. I guess that's why they keep coming back to me. (I hope) :D

That has always been my priority. My focus is mostly small to medium size business. I do not dare to take a big business project unless I am in a team of people.

Even medium size can be hard to maintain because being a 1 man IT person, can be very very challenging. I basically handle their web hosting , email's setting and backup... ect ect.

I did not personally host their website, but I assist them in web hosting  and domain registrations and such ( dns administration, domain masking, web transfer ) .

So well yeah that basically what I do.  I am not just a web designer. I think a proper title will be web consultant and developer. I do mostly programming, but I still design once in a while.

I love what I am doing right now. I love managing my own work time.

I got my husband to thank for, for allowing me to go freelancing and give me full support, since the income varies.

I will get better at this.

Love,

Sometime not a  boredfreelancer.

Shopping?

I don't like shopping.

Don't ask me why.

I hate trying on clothes and shoes and crap crap crap.

I just like electronic stuff.

So recently I have gotten $500 worth of gift card (kohl's, walmart). (Don't ask me how, but I can give you a hint, credit card sign up bonus, but you have to be smart with it)

And I don't know what to do with it.

I think I might resell this and put the money away especially I have another $1000 gift card coming in the next few weeks from the same thing I have been doing online (cc stuff )

FYI, to  play the CC game, be smart and it will do good to you.

Keep 0 balance on all CC.

MIA

Oh wow... I haven't blog in while .

But I have a very good reason.

I just (kinda) got back from vacation in Malaysia for my bro's wedding.

Let me tell you. IT WAS AN AWESOME TRIP!

* BIG BIG SMILE *

Anyway I just got back and got hit with works and so I have no time to blog at all ( I am also lying at the moment because during my free time, I play world of warcraft)

Anywho.....The flight was ok surprisingly (China Eastern Airlines) but I cant stand some rude passanger on board. Only one flight. The rest was ok. Kinda... well I was too excited to go home
I dont even care.

First thing that came to my mind was " OMG it is friggin hot in Malaysia!"

Wait I live here before? How the hell I manage to stand the heat last time? I was constantly sweating! I try my best not to look sweaty but my face always look like a burned salmon.

Other than that, it was pretty cool. I got to eat whatever I want and travel everywhere. Family and friends were so nice to both of us. I felt spoiled!

I cant wait for the next visit........but I cant lie that I am glad I am back to the state. (Dont call me a snob please). It just that I am so use to the weather here that's all. I do miss everyone in Malaysia but it is not how it use to be when $10 calling card only last 20 min. I can basically talk to my family and friends 24/7 if I want too....hehe

Life is good ( or only if you make it good)

Now I want to buy a new dining table because as I type this I cant stop staring and my stupid green and yellow dining table (worse decision ever to paint it) and it is making me madddddd!

LOL.

Loving my nexus 4!

What can I say?

This is one of the best phone I've own so far. It it fluid as a butter.......

4.2 Jelly Bean is superb. I am opening multiple different apps without a hiccup. I'm glad I switch to the 16gb version. I also sign up for box.com and get their free LG exclusive 50gb cloud space.
Pair that up with ES EXPLORER..... bammmm I can tranfer my files easier between my phone and the cloud.

I also connected my google drive with it. I love love love everything about it so far.

I got skinomi skin protector which is awesome. It feels nothing on my screen unless you look really really close. I also buy a TPU case by Cruzerlite.

This is probably one of the best purchase so far.
